Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She lived off of the student allowance, and relied off on a part-time job to supplement her funds. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative direction she would take. Lennox began her career as an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. The group broke up shortly before their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. From 1977 to 1980, she was the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. The band she was in, was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create The Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva and it was released by 1992. In both commercial terms and critically the album was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite blues soul tracks from her early childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. is a companion piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now, I'll let You Go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland is a philanthropist and an activist in the political arena. She sings. Following a modest success as a member of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, she and her fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics in the 1980s. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, with her debut album Diva. It featured many popular songs including the hit song Walking On Broken Glass and Why. Medusa the album from 1995 studio features cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include seven studio albums by herself and one compilation.
