Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father taught school and her mom was a domestic worker. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform plays with puppets for children in her area. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first major performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show Wind It up and It breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show lasted five years. McCormick stated in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. At the time, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. This would have occurred, she says. But, the time for our marriage was not right.
