Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father taught in the school system while her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick was a talented entertainer and singer at an early age. She show puppet shows to entertain her friends. At the age six, McCormick was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. McCormick was offered her first major role when she got a part in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in The Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the oldest daughter in the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity while on set of the series during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years older and the actor 19 at that moment. It was likely that we would have a romantic couple, she added. However, the timing was not just right.
