Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her family consisted of a mother who was household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick was a gifted singer and performer from the age of 6. She perform shows using puppets for the neighbors. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of six, which prompted a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to work in show business. McCormick was hired to star in her first major performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon selected for The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the TV show, she nearly lost her their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams.
