Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast who has led team U.S. team to victories in 2012 and the year 2016. Aly Raisman has six Olympic medals, as well as two World Championships gold medals. Aly, a native Massachusettsn who fell in love with gymnastics when she was 18 months, when she took a mommy and me class. Aly Raisman is a proponent of body positivity, a leader both in and off the floor, and has spoken against Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began her athletic career at an early age. She played a role in helping to help the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. Two medals were awarded to her in 2012 during the London Summer Olympics in London, one to the team and one for floor exercises. Raisman received silver in both the individual and floor finals of the 2016 Olympics at Rio. She also took home the gold medal from the team gymnastics contest. Raisman admitted in 2017 that she was sexually abused by team doctor Larry Nassar. The following year, she filed a lawsuit with USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
